Day 1: Arrive at Bagdogra or New Jalpaiguri Station – Darjeeling

  • Arrive in Darjeeling and check into your hotel.
  • Spend the afternoon exploring the local markets and enjoy some shopping.
  • Visit the Observatory Hill to catch the sunset and get a panoramic view of the town.
  • Dinner and overnight at Hotel. 

Day 2: Darjeeling sightseeing:

  • Wake up early and head to Tiger Hill to witness the breath taking sunrise over the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.
  • Take a joyride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train) from Darjeeling to Ghoom and back, enjoying the scenic views along the way.
  • Visit the Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in the region, and explore its beautiful architecture and serene surroundings.
  • Have a hearty breakfast at a local café.
  • Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the adjacent Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, home to various endangered Himalayan species, including the adorable red panda.
  • Visit the Himalayan Tibetan refugee centre to learn about the rich cultural heritage of the Tibetan community in the region.
  • In the evening, take a stroll through the Mall Road and enjoy shopping for souvenirs and sampling local delicacies.

Day 3: Darjeeling sightseeing:

  • Take an early morning trip to the Batasia Loop, a scenic spot that offers a magnificent view of Darjeeling town and the Kanchenjunga mountain range.
  • Embark on an excursion to the famous tea gardens of Darjeeling. Visit one of the tea estates and witness the tea-making process first-hand. Enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Darjeeling tea and take in the lush greenery around you.
  • Explore the Happy Valley Tea Estate, which offers guided tours and a chance to learn more about tea cultivation.
  • Visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda, a serene Buddhist shrine that offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and the town of Darjeeling.
  • Explore the Rock Garden and Ganga Maya Park, which feature beautiful terraced gardens, waterfalls, and rock formations. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the natural beauty.
